Step 1: Check whether the parameters have been set reasonably.

The most common reason for blurry laser marks is that the parameters have not been set correctly.Don't jump to the conclusion that your computer is broken. Check these key settings first:

Power and speed are matched.

If the power is too low or the speed too fast, the laser energy is not enough to make a sharp image.For example, when marking stainless steel, it is recommended that the power be set at 60-80 %, and the speed at 800-1200mm / s.

Frequency and spacing.

High frequencies tend to burn the material too much, while low frequencies can make the lines discontinuous.The gap between the two sheets is best set at between 0.02 and 0.05 millimeters. If it is too wide, the gap will be visible.

Step 2: Confirm the physical condition of the equipment.

If the parameters are fine, but the results are still poor, then it's time to check whether the equipment is "throwing a tantrum.

Inspection of lens cleanliness.

If the lenses are dirty or oily, it's like wearing dirty glasses, and the laser is severely scattered.Use an alcohol-dipped cotton swab to wipe in a spiral pattern from the center outward. Never use a paper towel!

Focus adjustment test.

A shift of focus by just one millimeter can make a huge difference in the results.Take a piece of scrap and use it to test the focus: adjust the height in increments of 0.2 mm until you find the position where the lines are the thinnest and sharpest. That is the best focal point.

Step 3: Materials and maintenance.

Different materials require different "tactics," and maintenance habits affect the state of the machines.

Special material pretreatment.

For example, with anodized aluminum, an uneven surface oxide layer will cause uneven reflection.The first step is to clean the surface with alcohol. If necessary, use the red laser light to preview the marking area.

Regular maintenance plan.

The rails are lubricated once a month, and the laser heads are cleaned deeply every quarter.Especially in the southern humid area, remember to put desiccants in the case to avoid fogging of the lenses which affects precision.

When you encounter a problem, don't panic. Just follow these three steps, and you'll solve 90 % of the problems you run into.If you still can't figure it out, it is recommended that you record the video and take a screenshot of the parameters when you contact the manufacturer. This will allow the technician to locate the problem more quickly.
